Flower Power Scents and Senses – Postponed
A fund raising event for the Jubilee Sensory Gardens is postponed
Following the success of last year’s talk ‘A tale of two bridges’, Holmer Green Village Society together with the Jubilee Sensory Garden have put together an evening of talks and food at Holmer Green Village Centre on Saturday 10th May 2025 starting at 7:45pm.
In the first half of the evening, Carole Petipher, who is a local lecturer, will reveal more in her new talk on flower folklore drawing on the wild flowers of the Chilterns.
After the interval, for your chosen food and to recharge your drinks at the licensed bar (operated by our sponsors – the Old Oak pub) , Martin Little, who manages the Jubilee Sensory Garden, will explain how the project has used flowers to stimulate the senses of garden visitors. He will explain that it’s not just scents (smell), but also the look, feel and taste of flowers and plants which makes them so important as a sensory item. His part of the evening will include an update on last year’s garden developments together with plans for 2025.
